Rocky Mountain Fescue

Rocky Mountain Fescue is a low-growing, deep-rooted, clump-forming grass and a drought-tolerant alternative to traditional lawns. It germinates and establishes quickly and is native from BC to MB. Seeded densely, it creates a lumpy lawn texture most noticeable underfoot. The foliage stays low and dense, while flower stalks grow 12 to “16" tall. Allowing it to seed before mowing encourages self-seeding and thickens coverage over time. It can be left unmowed or trimmed a few times during the season for a tidier look.
