Moss Campion forms a dense cushion of tiny, evergreen leaves, dotted with bright pink to purple star-like flowers in late spring and summer. Its vibrant blooms create a striking contrast against the compact foliage, attracting native bees and other pollinators. Well-suited to rugged rural spaces and resilient urban rock or crevice gardens, this hardy perennial thrives in tough environments.
A low-growing, mat-forming species, Moss Campion is well-adapted to dry, well-drained soils and requires little maintenance. It withstands extreme conditions, including drought and cold, making it an excellent choice for alpine and rocky landscapes. Its tough, compact growth habit also makes it highly resistant to deer and other herbivores.
