Monkey Flower is a vibrant, moisture-loving perennial with bright pink, trumpet-shaped flowers marked by a sunny yellow throat. Blooming from mid-summer into early fall, its showy, nectar-rich blooms are a favorite of bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Soft, green, lance-shaped leaves grow along upright, branching stems, forming a lush, compact habit that brings bold color and life to damp areas.
Thriving in consistently moist soils, it is ideal for rain gardens, riparian plantings, wet meadows, and boggy sites. Found in alpine seeps, streambanks, and wet mountain meadows, this hardy bloomer adds long-lasting vibrancy and pollinator support to both rural and urban native plantings. Though beautiful and ecologically valuable, it is not strongly deer-resistant.
