Our Wildflowers for Kids seed mix features 10 native wildflower species that are easy to grow, no special treatment needed. These seeds can be sown in spring and may even produce a few blooms in the first year. Kids will be excited to spot wildflowers with fun names like Rosy Pussytoes and Silky Scorpion Weed.
Please Note: We do not put filler in our seed mixes so the volume in the package can seem small for the number of seeds listed on the package, but volume isn't equal to quantity and most of the wildflower seeds are small. For more on what you can expect to receive please click here.

Seeding Rate
Seeding Rate: 15–30 seeds per square foot.
If your site is sheltered and you’re able to provide good aftercare, you can seed at the lower rate. For exposed sites or areas where aftercare will be limited, we recommend seeding at the higher rate to improve establishment.
Best Uses
Keep in mind that seeding perennial mixes is a long-term investment—this shouldn’t be the only thing happening in your space. These mixes work well tucked in among existing perennials or planted around trees and shrubs. You might also consider adding annuals in the first year to provide color and interest while the new seedlings establish, as most perennials won’t flower in their first season.
