Silverplant is a low-growing, drought-tolerant perennial with dense clusters of creamy white to pink flowers that deepen in color as they mature. Blooming from late spring through summer, it provides a long-lasting nectar source for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Its distinctive, silvery-green, oval-shaped leaves form a compact, mounded cushion, making it an excellent choice for rock or crevice gardens, xeriscapes, and alpine plantings.
Thriving in nutrient-poor soils, Silverplant is highly adapted to harsh, dry conditions and performs well in both rural and urban native plantings. Naturally found in dry grasslands, alpine meadows, and rocky slopes at mid to high elevations, it adds subtle beauty and resilience to even the most challenging landscapes. Its low, dense form and tough foliage suggest limited palatability to herbivores.
