Description: This pretty, late bloomer is a big nectar producer that will bring Bees and Butterflies into your garden as well as late season color. In the right location this wildflower will produce multiple flower stalks that steal the show. It is also very tolerant of hot dry places where it will be smaller but showy nonetheless. It's a great choice for any hot, sunny, pollinator garden.

Found in Nature: Sunny dry prairies and rocky slopes.

Distribution: Throughout the interior of Canada and the U.S.

Notes: Name recently changed from Petalostemum purpureum.

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
