Description: Large showy blooms appear in the summer amongst the Aspens in the tall grasses. Arnicas spread by rhizomes and need room to grow but this can be used to your advantage if you have a large space to fill, or hard to grow areas. Arnica is a great choice for attracting and supporting Bees and Butterflies. Arnica roots are also used in medicinal salves.

Found in Nature: Open woods and slopes

Distribution: Montane to Alpine, Yukon to Colorado

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
