Description: Small tree up to 8m tall with a broad head. Heavily branched with 5cm thorns. Green leaves in summer turn to oranges and reds in the fall. 1cm red fruit persists through winter. High security plant, will form an impenetrable barrier.

Found in Nature: Seed sourced from coulees and river valleys.

Distribution: Prairie plant.
