Description: If you have areas of wet, marshy land, grow this Carex. The bright color stands out in the garden, and if it is grown in partial shade, the color nearly glows. This Carex ornamental sedge is commonly referred to as Golden Sedge or Wet Meadow Sedge, and it is very useful in wet areas such as meadows, ditches, along stream banks for erosion control, around ponds and water features and is especially nice for the new "rain gardens". This cool season sedge slowly spreads out in all directions.

Found in Nature: Wetlands, stream or creekbeds, low wet ditches.
