Description: Wide and branchy shrub. Three-lobed leaf that is brilliant green in the summer and dark red in the fall. Yellow flowers appear in late spring, are eye-catching and fragrant and bloom for several weeks. Fruit is red-black, juicy and tasty. Fruit will hang on for a long time into the fall and the flavour improves with frost. New wood is a pleasant tan in winter. Makes for a great hedge.

Notes: Likes it hot, open and dry. Suffers in shade and with too much water.

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
