Description: Large shrub with a distinctive tall vase-shaped form. Grows fast and is great for screening, provides winter interest. Long wide leaves are variable in texture, from shiny to slightly hairy. Pussy willows (catkins) bloom in mid spring. Great early source of food for pollinators. Bark is grey, new growth will have shiny brown-reddish bark. Extremely drought-tolerant for Calgary area gardens.

Notes: The most drought tolerant willow in Alberta.
