Description: Low-growing willow with perfect form and open, wide, well-spaced branching. Broad, silver leaves are hairy and early spring catkins have a noticeable purple stamen and provide valuable early spring food for pollinators. Thick, yellow buds at the ends of stiff branches. Fantastic accent in shade gardens as this is one of the few silver-grey plants that will grow in the shade.

Notes: Newer introduction to nurseries in the province.
Can handle extra moisture, but not a requirement.

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
