Description: The wonderful thing about Buckwheats is the way they change color as the season progresses. This bright Buckwheat starts out the season with burnt orangey/red buds, has showy yellow blooms in the summer and has brilliant red fall foliage color. Buckwheats are drought tolerant and great for soil stabilization on steep slopes.

Found in Nature: Dry, rocky slopes & hot open rocky sites.

Distribution: Plains to Alpine
