Description: Extremely versatile and tough, this plant has pretty white flowers that turn to sweet red berries. The fruit is smaller than cultivated strawberries, but tastier! Without competition Wild Strawberries will form a solid groundcover and can be aggressive in a small space as they spread by runners. Best used in naturalized plantings, as a groundcover or in hard to grow areas such as beneath Evergreens.

Found in Nature: Well drained to moist open sunny sites and woodlands.

Distribution: Prairies, Foothills and Rocky Mountains

Notes: Available as larger potted stock - pick up only.

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
