Description: This wildflower gets its name from the dark blue/green leaves that contrast sharply with the silver undersides of the foliage. Bright yellow flowers add to the colorful drama as does the pinky orange fall foliage color. Bees are very fond of Potentilla, and it's a great prairie meadow plant!

Found in Nature: Open sites, meadows and prairie ditches.

Distribution: Foothills to Subalpine
