Description: This alpine wildflower is compact and mat-forming. It’s very pretty with its silvery foliage and creamy pink buds that turn to soft yellow blooms and back to pink again as the flower ages. Its woolly white foliage is an indication of its drought tolerance; it would be a showy addition to a rock garden.

Found in Nature: Sunny, dry open sites and rocky ridges.

Distribution: Plains to Alpine
