Description: Silky silvery foliage is soft and aromatic, and gets woody with age. The foliage is the main appeal of this drought-tolerant sun-loving perennial and it also has fall color appeal with pinky yellow hues. On hot windy days this plant seems to glisten as the silvery foliage moves in the breeze and releases the sage-like scent. Plant around exposed sitting areas and enjoy its calming qualities.

Found in Nature: Dry rocky sites and gravelly slopes.

Distribution: Common - Prairie, Foothills, Rocky Mountains.

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
