Description: With eye-catching silver foliage and a spreading habit this sage is well suited to large meadow plantings. The fall tints the silvery leaves of sages to pinky/orange which is very pretty. The aromatic foliage is its main interest and it is used to make smudges. This sage is a good choice for hard to grow sites due to its aggressive nature.

Found in Nature: Dry open sites, sunny meadows and roadside ditches.

Distribution: Common - Prairies and Parklands

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
