Description: Large sunny blooms in early summer are bright and eye-catching. This Arnica likes moist soils and spreads by rhizomes making it a good selection for large, naturalized plantings. This would work great along rural driveways in moist sunny ditches or shady thickets. Arnica has medicinal properties but is POISONOUS and should never be consumed. The flowers provide a great nectar source for bees and the birds enjoy the seeds afterwards.

Found in Nature: Moist sunny meadows, open woodlands, and shady thickets.

Distribution: Foothills to Sub-Alpine

Notes: Available as larger potted stock - pick up only.

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
