Description: This attractive bunchgrass forms full spikes of purplish green flowers and has presence in a larger landscape. June Grass is a great addition to a native planting and is not an aggressive spreader, so it makes a good specimen grass in any sunny well-drained garden.

Found in Nature: Sunny open dry to well drained sites.

Distribution: Plains to Sub-Alpine
