Description: Bright blooms and green foliage in early spring bring a splash of color to the sleeping landscape. One of the first to flower in the spring, the cheery blooms are a welcome sight and an important early source of food for pollinators waking up from a long winter. This is a rhizomus plant that needs room to grow, and it's great in large landscapes or rocky embankments as erosion control. Try it in a hard to grow area where its aggressive nature will be an asset.

Found in Nature: Dry open grassy sites, sunny hillsides and rocky slopes.

Distribution: Prairies, Foothills & Sub-alpine

Notes: Available as larger potted stock - pick up only.

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
