Description: This violet likes rich soil and is happy to grow in seasonally moist sunny areas that dry out later in the summer. It is a spring bloomer with bright violet blooms and may bloom again in the fall if conditions are right. This is a pretty compact wildflower that attracts beneficial insects into your space is often camouflaged in the grasses until it comes into bloom.

Found in Nature: Gravelly slopes and open grassy sites on the Prairies.
