Description: Bright white flowers stand out against the lush green foliage of moist shady sites in the spring. This plant will tolerate moist, full sun conditions but the foliage is much nicer when it’s grown in more shade. Canada Anemones spread by rhizomes and can be aggressive without competition. Use its spreading habit to your advantage by using it in large plantings or hard to grow areas like deep shade.

Found in Nature: Moist open and wooded sites, thickets, seasonally wet low spots and grassy meadows.

Distribution: Common - Prairie Provinces

Notes: Latin name recently changed from Anemone canadensis

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
