Description: Elegant flowers in the spring become attractive, puffy seed heads as the summer wears on. Clematis vines will climb a tree or a trellis and can also make an attractive ground cover when left to creep across the ground. This clematis is always in the shade in nature but will take more sun if the roots are cool and protected.

Found in Nature: Shady, moist wooded sites and rocky sheltered embankments.

Distribution: Foothills to Montane

Notes: Available as larger potted stock - pick up only.

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
