Description: Brilliant blue flowers light up dry rocky sites in the heat of summer. Alberta Penstemon likes it hot and dry and is often found growing on steep rocky southwest facing embankments. Hummingbirds are fond of Penstemons and in the fall the foliage turns reddish. This is a showy selection for a sloped gravelly sites or rock gardens.

Found in Nature: Dry rocky/gravely slopes and open sites.

Distribution: Foothills, Rocky Mountains
